Ball State University: Child Study Center
August 2007-May 2010|August 2011-December 2011
My experience at the Child Study Center began my freshman year of college. I began as a Student Secretary to the Infant/Toddler lab coordinator. My main duties were to compile data on the children in the center, compile newsletters for the parents, and take care of day-to-day needs of the center. I quickly learned new tasks, and progressed to doing more for the teachers and helping parents complete packets for enrollment and fundraisers.
I took a year break from the Child Study Center between May 2010 and August 2011 because my schedule didn't work with what the Child Study Center needed. When I returned in August of 2011, I worked a lot on helping the new directors and new office assistant get the office organized for the new semester. Once the majority of that was done I began working on fundraisers and Scholastic Book Club orders for the Child Study Center.
The fundraiser I helped to organize brought in over $200 after paying $500 for the T-Shirt products that we were ordering for the fundraiser.
With my work at the Child Study Center, I gained an EPI-Pen training and certificate.
